The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 was not the only laptop announced by Lenovo at this time. The new X Series ultraportable is called the Lenovo ThinkPad X220T, which is a convertible Tablet PC. It is designed for mobile business professionals and provides the full performance and usability found in larger laptops, but comes in a super ultraportable design.

The Huron River-based Lenovo ThinkPad X220 convertible tablet is boasts a choice of 2nd gen Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors, Intel HD graphics, up to 8GB of memory, up to 320GB HDD or up to 160GB SSD with Windows 7 OS pre-loaded.

New Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Tablet packing a 12.5-inch multitouch IPS display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel and protected by Gorilla Glass, a 720p HD webcam, a 54mm ExpressCard slot, SD card reader, Wi-Fi, a DisplayPort output, USB 3.0 port, and optional mobile broadband support. Its 6-cell standard battery is enabling up to 16 hours of run time.

Previously, the ThinkPad X220 laptop is start priced at $899, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X220T convertible tablet is $1,199 and both laptops will be available in April 2011.
